The main motive in visiting Beijing, Chong Qing, Changsha and Guang Zhou was to visit the factories that supply machineries to process tapioca starch, and to decide, then purchase which equipment could produce the largest capacity in the least amount of time.
And that was exactly what we did: countless trips to various factories and shaking the wrinkled hands of engineers.
With the coming Olympics held in Beijing, the country seriously needs a major revamp in these aspects.
Hygiene
1. The elderly must be taught/forced not to spit in restaurants.
2. All restrooms must be equipped with the flush system and toilet papers. And doors.
3. Pork sausages should not be left to dry atop congested roads. And I don't care if it's for the preparation of CNY.
Language
1. Ever heard of an English broadcast station? Just one for christ sake. Bloody AXN movie was dubbed in Chinese with no option for language change.
2. I could not find a single English book/magazine in every bookstore I went.
3. If you plan to conquer the global economy in the future, learn the English language.
4. Which reminds me, what's up with the lack of volume control? The slang alone is enough to kill.
The freaking China Southern Airline
The flight was delayed for five freaking hours which led us to miss our flight to Singapore in Guangzhou. And to make matters worst, the Manager suggested we purchase another ticket just so to catch our flight in Guangzhou. NO FUCKING WAY. We negotiated for two hours before he relented and agreed to provide us with one night accommodation in Guangzhou; a shitty hotel to say the least. First, you screwed up the flight then you give me a shit ass hotel. Talk about good publicity.
Let's just say its darn good to be back. And it will be a damn ass long time before my next trip back to China.
